James Payne, working as Bxiie, is a Vermont-based sculptor whose work explores repetition, geometry, tension, and the relationship between constructed forms and their surroundings.

His sculptures range from small interventions and maquettes to large-scale outdoor installations, using wood, steel, wire, plastics, and other materials. Digital design and fabrication are often part of the process, but the finished work is grounded in physical material, site, balance, repetition, and the ways an object alters the space around it.

Payne’s work has been exhibited in public, museum, gallery, and outdoor settings in the United States and Europe.
